Police Reserve Program

The Elizabeth Police Department Patrol Division contains a Reserve Police Officer component. Reserve Police Officers are fully P.O.S.T. certified Peace Officers and have the same powers as a full-time Elizabeth Police Officer. The primary difference between a Reserve and a full-time Police Officer is that Reserve Police Officers are unpaid.

EPD Reserve Police Officer's are required to work 20 hours a month (excluding trainings) and like full-time paid Officers, must complete a standardized Field Training Officer (FTO) program.
