Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police State Accreditation

CACP

The Elizabeth Police Department is accredited through the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP).

Accreditation through CACP is an arduous process. EPD was initially accredited in 2016.

To maintain this accreditation, EPD must undergo an extensive review process every five (5) years. This review inspects EPD's policies and procedures (P&P), confirm adherence to new laws, and adopts the best practices. All this is done to ensure that EPD provides the highest level of law enforcement, and police services to the community of Elizabeth.

EPD was reaccredited in 2021 and we will go through an additional review and process in 2026.
