Welcome to Jeff Engel - Interim Chief of Police

The Elizabeth Board of Trustees are proud to welcome Jeff Engel to serve as the Interim Police Chief for the Town of Elizabeth.  Jeff has over 33 years of experience in law enforcement and has been employed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for over 15 years.  During his career in law enforcement, Jeff has held the positions of police officer, deputy sheriff, sergeant, lieutenant, and chief of police.  Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Science from the University of Wisconsin, a master’s degree in Public Administration from Concordia University, a Certified Professional Public Manager’s Certificate from the University of Colorado-Denver, and he is a graduate of the FBI Command College.  Please join the Board of Trustees in welcoming Jeff to the community!
