Food Truck Licensing

To operate a Food Truck within the Town of Elizabeth, certain requirements and restrictions must be met. Please see the full ordinance below for the details on what is permitted. If you feel you meet the requirements for operating a food truck, fill out and submit the application and acknowledgment form along with the $50 application fee. Please also submit the required plot plan to help expedite the application process. Failure to fill out the application completely or submit all the required documents may result in a delay in processing your application.

Food Truck Licenses are good for up to one (1) year until December 31st of each year. Issued licenses will be a different color each year to make valid licenses easier to identify. Licenses will need to be placed in an easily visible location on each truck.

A Food Truck License will not be issued until the application is approved by Elbert County Environmental Health and the Elizabeth Fire Department. For more information on the health department's requirements, please contact Elbert County at www.elbertcounty-co.gov or 303-621-2341.

Vendor Licenses are no longer valid for food trucks participating in special one-time events such as Elizabash, Harvest Festival or Friday Night Markets. A Food Truck License is required for these and all other events within Town. A Food Truck License does not replace the need for a special agreement with the Town for the use of the Gesin Lot.

Please contact Town Hall at 303-646-4166 if you have any further questions.
