BOARD VACANCY

The Town of Elizabeth is looking for interested residents to fill one vacancy on the Board of Trustees. To qualify for consideration, individuals must have resided in Town for a minimum of (1) year, be a U.S. citizen, be a registered elector of the Town of Elizabeth and have an interest in Town affairs. Experience in Town government is not necessary. An Elizabeth address does not necessarily mean you reside in the Town of Elizabeth. Residency is not based solely on your physical address; it is that you are living within the Town boundaries. If you are unsure if you are town resident, please call to verify.

The appointment to fill the vacancy will be for a term that would begin on the effective date of the appointment and end at a Town Board meeting following the certification of the November 2024 election results.

The Board of Trustees will review applications and appoint one individual to fill the vacancy at a scheduled Board meeting. Letters of interest with resumes will be accepted until Friday October 13, 2023, at 3:00 pm. The Board will hold a meet and greet on October 19th at 6:00 pm. Interviews and selection will be made October 24th at the Regular Board Meeting. If interested, please submit a letter of interest to: Town Hall, Attn: Town Clerk, PO Box 159, Elizabeth, CO. 80107; drop off at Town Hall, 151 S. Banner Street; or email to moeser [at] townofelizabeth.org. Below is a link to the application form.
