Drive

As we approach Drug Endangered Children (DEC) Awareness Month, our community has a unique opportunity to make a positive impact. Drug-Endangered Children Awareness Month is in April, and we will begin our social media campaign on April 1st. This year, the Elizabeth Police Department is hosting a Sock N' Skivvies drive to raise awareness and support children with substance misuse. Collection boxes will be located at the Elizabeth Police Department. The donation of new children's socks and underwear will be given to the Elbert County Department of Human Services and ECCO.

Why Socks and Underwear? As you know, socks and underwear are essential items that are often overlooked. For children in drug-endangered environments, having clean, comfortable clothing can make a world of difference. Collecting new socks and underwear can provide these basic necessities to children who most need them.

How can you help?

  1. Spread the word. Share information about our drive with your friends, family, and colleagues. I have attached a flyer for your use.
  2. If you are interested in hosting a collection point, please let me know.
  3. Donate new children's socks and underwear to our designated drop-off location. Every contribution counts!

Why DEC Awareness Matters:  Drug-endangered children face unique challenges, including exposure to dangerous substances, neglect, and trauma. By raising awareness, we can advocate for better policies, resources, and support systems to protect these vulnerable children.

Together, We Can Make A Difference! Let's unite as a community and support our youngest members. Your contribution, whether big or small, will help create a safer environment for drug-endangered children.

Thank you for joining us in this vital cause. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

With Kind Regards,

PattyAnn
