Public Works would like to announce that beginning the first week of April 2026 until completion, Blackhills Energy and Colorado Dept. of Transportation (CDOT) will be conducting a new Main line service installation along Highway 86 from County Road 13 to County Road 17.

Blackhills Energy will be installing a new Main Line Service installation along the South side of the Highway that exists within the CDOT Right of Way.  Blackhills Energy will be providing traffic control during this process, and it is estimated to last between 45-65 Days.  The process will involve trenching and temporary street closures during the day as they progress through Town.

CDOT will be conducting an Asphalt Mill and Overlay as soon as Blackhills Energy has completed their project and is slated for up to 1 month of construction.
