Event Description
Elizabeth Main Street 5K Run/Walk & Family Color Run August 29, 2026 · Elizabeth, Colorado
Join us for a community celebration in the heart of Elizabeth! Our 5K Run/Walk winds through historic Main Street and surrounding parks on a course with both paved and dirt terrain. From competitive runners to families with strollers, everyone's welcome. An hour after the 5K, the Family Color Run kicks off for a fun, untimed romp through color stations the whole family can enjoy. After the race, stick around for pancakes, a cold beer, and shopping along Main Street. And don't miss the Elizabeth Backyard BBQ Showdown in Running Creek Park starting at noon that same day!
Official Race Timing
The 5K is an officially timed race, managed by Colorado Race Timing. Your chip-timed result will be recorded and available after the event. To receive an official finish time, all participants must register under the 5K registration.
5K Start Time: 9:00 AM | Family Color Run Start Time: 10:00 AM (1 hour after the 5K start)
Doing Both Events?
5K participants are welcome and encouraged to join the Color Run after finishing the race! However, all participants who wish to run the 5K must register under the 5K registration to receive an official timed result. The Color Run registration is for Color Run-only participants.

Important Information
Race Route: View Course Map Online
Medical Support: Comprehensive medical staff and tent available at the start/finish line and throughout the course.
Parking: Free street parking in downtown Elizabeth. Note: No parking on Main Street between Elm and Spruce Streets.
Pet Policy: Pets are welcome on Main Street, but not on the race course. We appreciate your understanding.
