Melvin Berghahn sworn in as Town of Elizabeth Chief of Police
Melvin Berghahn was sworn in as Chief of Police for the Town of Elizabeth on January 15, 2021. Chief Berghahn has been serving in law enforcement since 2004. He started working for the Town of Elizabeth in 2015 as Sergeant before being promoted to Commander in 2018. Chief Berghahn has been leading the operations of the Elizabeth Police Department for the past several years with a strong focus on community policing and outreach.
