Anyone interested in filling a vacant board seat is asked to forward a letter of interest to the Town Hall, P.O. Box 159, Elizabeth, CO 80107.

The applicants will be interviewed by the Planning Commission and at the Regular Meeting of the Town Board.

All Visitors must contact the Town Clerk three business days before a scheduled meeting to be placed on the agenda.

Planning Commission Purpose

The purposes of the Planning Commission are:

1.     To develop a Master Plan, for final approval by the Board of Trustees, that addresses land use and related matters for Elizabeth.

2.     To develop land use regulations and other programs, for final approval by the Board of Trustees, to implement the Master Plan.

3.     To provide recommendations to the Board of Trustees regarding Site Plan and Subdivision application presented to the Town.

planning Commission Member Requirements

By Town ordinance, the Planning Commission includes seven (7) members, each appointed for a four-year term. Members must reside within incorporated Town limits. Further information about membership can be found in CRS 31-32 and in Elizabeth Municipal Code Section 2-6.
