County Oil and Gas

A draft copy of the proposed Oil and Gas Regulations for Elbert County is available. Your input is welcomed. Please forward any comments, concerns or suggestions on the County Regulation to Richard Miller through e-mail. These regulations are in draft form and there is plenty of room for your input.

Town Oil and Gas

The Town of Elizabeth is also reviewing Oil and Gas regulations within the Town Limits. The Town Attorney has proposed an Ordinance to be proactive in any future potential development or exploration for Oil and/or Gas within the Town limits.

The Planning Commission will be  discussing this Ordinance during their meetings. You can find agendas for these meetings as well as the current draft version of the Ordinance the Commission will be discussing.

The Town is highly interested in Public Comment on this issue. Please plan to attend Planning Commission meetings or provide comments to:
